The story unfolds ten months after a job-related accident causes hearing loss for police detective Frankie Shaw. Alongside his partner, Doug Slater, Shaw becomes entangled in a dangerous situation as they are tasked with protecting a deaf murder witness, Ava, who lives in a high-risk apartment building. The antagonist, Lynch, leads a team of corrupt officers determined to eliminate the witness to prevent her from testifying, culminating in a high-stakes standoff within the apartment complex.
