Tokyo Game Show kicks off later this week. The gaming industry event will be held from September 12th-15th at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Sony will have a big presence at the TGS showing many first party and third party games on the show floor, will be occupying a nearby theater, and hosting live stream events. Yet, there will be on press conference at TGS by Sony.

Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding will have a big presence at TGS 2019, which he hinted to at PAX East less than a month ago. Kojima Productions will be hosting two extensive gameplay demos at TGS. The first is set to take place opening day of TGS and will be a 50 minute presentation. The second presentation will be the next day and will be 30 minutes long. On September 15th the final day of TGS will feature the Japanese voice actors and serve more as a fan appreciation segment. Kojima seems like he will be busy at TGS. Personally I am hyped!

Tokyo Game Show will offer potentially 80 minutes of new unseen content. Which would allow many interested fans to find out what Death Stranding is all about conceptually and gameplay wise.

There is no word if this footage is for press only or for us normal folk who enjoy Kojima’s work. It is known that Death Stranding will be seen during one of Sony’s live stage events.  Most likely it will be a shorter version than the one that will be seen behind closed doors.

From what we have been able to catch a glimpse of over the few years Death Stranding has been in development will be groundbreaking. In a recent interview with Financial Times, Kojima states, “Its world view, gameplay, they are all new. My mission is to create a genre that does not currently exist, and which takes everyone by surprise. There is, naturally, a risk in that.”

I can’t wait to see what you have created for us Mr. Kojima. Death Stranding releases on November 8th for PS4.
