During Shot Show 2020, Strike Industries unveiled a lot products in the pipeline for release this year. It seems as the season of Strike has officially begun. Today, Strike Industries released their Quick Detach Sling Loop (QDSL) to the market.
What makes the QDSL stand out among other QD mounts are two unique features. First,The new QD Mount features a unique method on detaching from the socket. Second, it comes in two different sizes—standard and micro.
Unique Unlocking Method of the QDSL
To unlock Strike’s QDSL isn’t like a normal QD sling mount when you press in on the center button to release it. In order to unlock the QDSL from the mount you have to squeeze in on the two opposite locking tabs to release it from the socket.
Size Variants
The new Strike Industries Quick Detach Sling Loop comes in two different variants—standard and micro as stated before. The Standard version also has a cutout in the center to to run your sling loops through. Which I must admit is a nice touch I must admit.
Let’s take a look at specs for the standard and micro.
The Micro is about .50 inch shorter in length, 0.1mm shorter in height, and equal in width. The micro gives consumers a smaller for their quick detach sling mount. Which is a consideration I appreciate in the design philosophy of the QDSL from Strike Industries.
Below, is the product description from Strike Industries Quick Detach Sling Loop from their website.
Product Description
The Strike Industries Quick Detach Sling Loop is the most revolutionary design for QD attachments to date. With the ability to remove the QD with a single hand, the user can easily squeeze the mechanism for the simplest attachment and detachment. Instead of a traditional push button QD that is tough to disengage, the patent pending side to side mechanism allows for uninterrupted quick attach and detach while the sling is in use. Crafted from 17-4 Stainless Steel and after a quench polish quench (QPQ) process, the durability of the sling loop is greatly increased. The enhanced geometry of the sling loop allows the strap to never pinch, bite, or roll around the interior of the loop allowing for the maximum mobility and comfort in any tactical or training situation.
Strike Industries new Quick Detach Sling Loop retails for $19.99, for standard and micro.
