Recently, Next Level Training (NLT) announced the addition of the SIG P320 SIRT Training Pistol to its lineup. For those how are uninitiated Next Level Training makes training pistols with a resetting trigger for use in dry fire training. The SIRT pistols also have a laser within the trainer to see shot placement upon a target while training. Next Level Training has a loyal following within the firearm community between instructors and shooters. Seeing the success and popularity of the SIG P320, NLT has introduced the SIRT 20 and 20C to their lineup. The new SIRT 20 and 20C will retail for $479.

Below, is the product description from Next Level Training on the new SIRT 20 and 20C.

Product Description

The SIRT 20 has the functional features of a SIG P320. This model has a metal slide with a green shot indicating laser and red take up laser.

Safe, effective, and innovative, the Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger (SIRT) Training Pistol was developed by shooters for shooters, to complement, not replace, live fire training. The SIRT Training Pistol brings together a host of patent pending technologies critical to improving shooting accuracy while addressing issues of cost and liability.

With a $479 MSRP, each SIRT comes with the necessary adjustment tools and one training magazine (more available for additional purchase if you want to incorporate reloading along with your dry fire and draw stroke practice). While they do offer a less expensive PP training pistol option, it does not correlate to any particular handgun and is only meant to be generally similar. If you shoot SIGs, you may find enough value to shell out the additional cash for the training tool most like your actual gun. Next Level also suggests that the device can be used as a safe instructional aid, or for a new concealed carrier who wants to start getting comfortable before tucking a real gun in his or her waistband. The 20 and 20C both feature rail sections on the underside of their frames, so you should be able to install your favorite weapon light and integrate that element into your training as well. When you’re done with your at-home practice and ready for more live fire, I’ll see you at the range!

What do you think of the addition of the SIRT 20 and 20C? Do you own a SIRT pistol? If, so do you think it’s a good training aid? Let us know in the comments below.
