First Impressions of the SLx-25 Red Dot
My first impression of this optic is good. I really enjoy the build quality of this red dot. At, my job we used the Primary Arms 1st generation read dots and they take a beating and keep on ticking. Really, well made red dots. This new SLx-25 red dot seems to have that same rugged build quality. The rotary knob has a good tactile feel when turning. The knob is stiff because it’s new but, moves smoothly. I like the added touch of having dimples on the turrets so you can make adjustment without the need of a casing or multi tool. I love when companies do that.
It’s a good looking micro red dot also. I enjoy the design language and lines they chose for this optic. It just looks clean and mean. In a good way though. Everything design wise seems to have its place.
The most surprising part of the SLx-25 is its field of view. I didn’t think that 5mm would make that big of a difference but, man does it. It’s feels like you are able to suck up so much more in our field of view. I instantly noticed the difference once I peered through the glass. I had to look through my Vortex Crossfire and Truglo red dot sights to see if I was crazy or imagining things. That 5mm gives so much in the field of view just increasing your situational awareness through your optic. Which I find particularly dope. All in all Primary Arms SLx-25 gives off a strong first impression.
Currently the Primary Arms SLx-25 is sold out. You can get on the list to be notified when available.
