Recently, Bushnell has refreshed their Elite Tactical riflescopes with updated models of their XRS and DMR scopes. The new scopes are the XRS3 and DMR3 riflescopes. Bushnell’s is known for making quality budget friendly optic options. Their Elite Tactical brand includes full-featured scopes that compete with many of big names within the optics market.
Both new scopes come equipped with features that are standard on Modern long range scopes. The XRS3 and DMR3 both feature: a first focal plane, zero stops, 0.1 MRAD turrets, and side parallax adjustment. Bushnell’s throw lever system called “Throwhammer” is also included as part of the overall package.
The refreshed scopes also feature the G4P reticle. Bushnell collaborated with G.A. Precision do develop the reticle. The reticle combines hash marks and dots for drop and windage. The DMR3 has a 3.5-21x power magnification. While the XRS3 has a 6-36x power magnification. The only missing element of these two new optics is an Illuminated reticle.
There are a few differences between the XRS3 and DMR3. Those differences are length (13.2 inches for the DMR3, 14.8 inches for the XRS3), weight (35.5 ounces for the DMR3, 38.9 ounces for the XRS3), objective lens diameter (50mm for the DMR3, 56mm for the XRS3), and parallax (25 yards for the DMR3, 50 yards for the XRS3).
Bushnell’s refreshed XRS and DMR aren’t available yet. On Bushnell’s website it says coming soon. To find out more check out Bushnell’s website.
