Back in February of this year Berger Ammunition released their 73-grain boat tail target and 77-grain OTM Tactical ammunition to market. The OTM Tactical ammo was designed to be a premium ammo solution for military and law enforcement agencies and personnel. The new ammo provided superior ballistics and performance to any comparable round in its weight class. The round performance excels out of rifles that have barrels with a 1:8” twist ratio.

In April of this year a small lot of OTM Tactical ammunition was found to be defective. The affected ammunition may cause function/ignition issues within the AR-15 platform. This issue does not seem to affect bolt action rifles chambered in .223 Remington.

Below, is the press release for the recall of Berger OTM Tactical ammunition.
