M81 Woodland is one of the most loved camouflage patterns by military, law enforcement, and civilians. M81 Woodland was the primary camouflage pattern of the U.S. military. Recently, Sarfariland announced the addition of their new M81 Woodland camo holster. The new holster will fit most compact and full-size handguns currently on the market.
The new M81 Woodland holster will be available for SIG P320 compact and full size, FN 509, Smith & Wesson 2.0, Glock 17/19/34, and the Staccato P. Current holster models with camo pattern include the 6354RDS and 6304RDS. Both holsters have a QLS 19 Locking Fork with a belt-mounted QLS system.
Below are the product description and features for the Safariland 6354 and 6304 RDS—ALS/SLS holsters.
Product Description
In 1981 the United States Armed Forces adopted the first official Battle Dress Uniform. The camouflage chosen for the first BDUs was U.S. Woodland—a pattern well suited for use in dense forests of hardwoods and pines.
M81 represents the end of an era. Woodland marks the transition from Vietnam into the last days of the Soviet Union and the end of a Cold War. More than any other military pattern, Woodland represents that period before the War on Terror, and the new normal ushered in with the new millennium.
The Limited Edition 6304RDS in M81 Woodland Camo is specifically designed for firearms with red dot sights. This holster features the Automatic Locking System (ALS®). It locks the weapon in all directions upon holstering, it’s operable with the thumb, and the weapon can be drawn straight out of the holster with no twisting required. Additional retention is achieved when used with the SLS rotating hood.
This holster has the QLS 19 Locking Fork installed. The QLS 19 Locking Fork can be used with any mounting platform (leg shroud, belt loop, etc.) that has the QLS 22 Receiver Plate installed.
Features
• ALS® (Automatic Locking Systems) secures weapon once holstered; simple straight-up draw once release is deactivated
• SLS (Self Locking System) Rotating Hood
• For use with red dot optic-equipped weapons
• SafariLaminate™ thermoformed construction protects handgun and sights
