The Springfield Hellcat and the XD-M pistols are the cornerstones of Springfield’s modern pistol series. The micro-compact Hellcat scratches the itch for concealed carry shooters. At the same time, the XD-M covers competitive shooters and law enforcement. Springfield Armory now offers threaded barrels from the factory for the Hellcat and XD-M pistols.

The Hellcat will have two offerings for the threaded barrel. Consumers can choose from a 3” threaded barrel or a 3.8 threaded barrel with Springfield’s self-indexing compensator. The XD-M will have a 4.5” threaded barrel option and be chambered in different calibers. The 4.5” XD-M barrels will be chambered in 9mm, 10mm, and .45 ACP.

Below is a short statement from Springfield Armory on releasing the threaded barrels for the Hellcat and XD-M pistols.

New from Springfield Armory® are OEM drop-in barrel upgrades for the ever-popular Hellcat® 9mm and XD-M® 4.5” striker-fired handguns.

Designed for factory fitment, the 9mm, 10mm and .45 ACP threaded barrels for the XD-M 4.5″ model are hammer forged and finished in Melonite® for unmatched durability. A thread protector is included for when a muzzle device is not present.

Also available is a 3.8″ threaded barrel and compensator kit for Hellcat 3″ Micro-Compact handguns. The barrel comes packaged with a Self-Indexing Compensator that reduces felt recoil for faster follow-up shots.

The new threaded barrels for the Hellcat and XD-M are available now on Springfield Armory’a website. The Hellcat 3.8” threaded barrel with compensator retails at $199.99 MSRP. The XD-M barrels retail for $159.99 MSRP. For more on the threaded barrel and Springfield’s other products, click here.
