Last week, Ripcord Industries announced the newest addition to their LDR series with the LDR.C series of handguards. The “C” in this series stands for “carbine.” The new series of rails was designed with extensive end-user feedback, allowing Ripcord to continuously improve their products’ performance, strength, and durability. The LDR.C handguards are available in 9.55”, 10.55”, and 13”.
Below is the product description and features for the new LDR.C series of handguards.
Product Description

The LDR.C (“Carbine”) is the result of customer feedback paired with our drive to continuously improve our products. These have been in the works behind the scenes for some time.
Strength and durability continue to be the two main points of focus in the design of our rails. Our newest additions in the LDR Series continue to perform as some of the strongest and most durable M-LOK style rails currently available. The outer profile has been adjusted for increased rigidity, as well as to fit the profile of your hand when lifting, steering, and driving the gun. Additionally, we have adjusted the continuous M-LOK section along the 6 o’clock flat rearward slightly. This allows individuals with shorter arms to mount foregrips further rearward if needed. This also offsets these M-LOK slots from those along the 45-degree flats, which helps with strength along the rail’s length.
We have received a ton of user feedback that has driven the evolution of our rails. With that said, we want to briefly describe some of the improvements we have incorporated into our LDR.C, LDR.A, and LDR.P rails.
Key Features
• Our LDR Series rails now come with integrated Steel QD Sockets. The steel sockets provide a more secure connection point for slings equipped with steel QD swivels.
• The bottom (6 o’clock) “flat” is now wider and provides a stronger, wider flat contact surface if bracing on a bagged tripod or other surfaces for stable supported shooting.
• All hard angles and edges have been softened for improved coating quality and a sleek appearance.
• Each model has been shortened slightly for compatibility with a wider range of suppressors.
• Utilizes our improved and lighter Mod6 Barrel Nut.
• Improved “Ano+” coating process that we now complete in-house.
• We have added “T marks” along the top Picatinny portion.
• The Traction Tape Pockets have been adjusted to cover more area where hands are likely to be placed and have softer corners.
The material for the body of our rail is Aerospace Grade 6061-T6 Aluminum, chosen for its strength-to-weight ratio and better ductility compared to 7075-T6 used in other rails on the market. This material gives our rail the ability to tolerate high stress, in the event it is applied suddenly (sudden, sharp impacts), without cracking.
As the use of night vision, thermal, and laser aiming devices has become more mainstream, ensuring end users have a stable and rigid platform to mount lasers, offset red dots, clip-on thermal/NVG devices, and bipods is important. This ensures that any device mounted to our rail, used to aid in accurate shot placement, maintains its zero. We wanted to reduce the amount of shift that external forces can have on your sighting systems. So whether you are standing, braced off a barrier or cover, locked into a tripod, or prone possibly using a bipod, you can have confidence that your aiming devices will still provide an accurate POA.
By removing unnecessary M-LOK slots in specific locations, we were able to provide added strength lengthwise to our M-LOK rail. This ensures that external forces (e.g., gripping or bracing against a barrier) have little to no effect on your laser’s zero. Another point of strength comes from the LDR’s skeletal structure within its inner diameter (ID). Instead of cutting the M-LOK flats (inner M-LOK feature) as continuous channels from front to rear, each M-LOK slot has its own inner flat. This leaves a “frame” throughout the ID of our rail.
In conclusion, the LDR.C series of handguards represents the pinnacle of Ripcord Industries’ commitment to quality, innovation, and user-driven design. With enhanced strength, improved durability, and features tailored to the needs of modern firearm enthusiasts, these handguards are a valuable addition to any setup. The LDR.C handguards are available now and retail for $349.99 MSRP on our website. Elevate your shooting experience with the latest from Ripcord Industries.
