On February 23, 1945, seventy-five years to the date, six Marines raised the American Flag upon the top of Mount Suribachi. The blood of thousands of Marines was spilled upon the sand and leaked into the seas during the thirty-six day battle for Iwo Jima. Over 19,000 marines lost their lives in effort to secure the island of Iwo Jima for the U.S. Military.
FN America recently secured a five year contract at $16.4 million to produce M240 receiver assemblies. The contract was awarded by Defense Logistics Agency to produced the receiver assemblies.
Last week, sixteen Marines were arrested during morning formation by Naval Criminal Investigate Service (NICS). The Marines were arrested at Camp Pendleton, California.
The Marines were arrested related to “various illegal activities” related to allegations of human trafficking to drugs, in a press release from the Marine Corps.

For most of my life I have been obsessed about war and conflict. I have always gravitated towards it. Their is so much complexity to the dynamics of warfare it has always intrigued me.
For the last couple of years, Glock has been extending Blue Label pricing to active duty, honorably discharged, and retired military. Glock calls the promotion the Salute to Veterans. The Blue Label pricing beings on Memorial Day and ends on Veterans Day.
The sacrifice of these heroes should never be forgotten. It is because of their sacrifice and belief in the character of this nation that we enjoy our freedoms. The freedom of speech, religion, and sex. The right to keep and bare arms. Checks and balances of government powers. The freedom of the individual. Their sacrifice has preserved those freedoms in this wonderful nation.
With Memorial Day upon us I was thinking about where I would like to go in the future to honor The Fallen of this country. To pay respect and to honor the sacrifice they made for this country. Their sacrifice has allowed us to enjoy the freedoms and liberties we in America cherish so dearly.
