What’s up everyone? I hope everyone had a great weekend with family and friends. It’s been a minute since I posted an article just talking about my thoughts. I thought this was a prefect time to give you a little bit of insight into my noggin again.
What’s up everyone? I hope everyone had a great weekend with family and friends. It’s been a minute since I posted an article just talking about my thoughts. I thought this was a prefect time to give you a little bit of insight into my noggin again.
To start I want to say I hope you have enjoyed the content I have created for the blog. I work hard to make sure this that you have well written pieces and create content you want to read. As, I have said before this blog has been a passion project in my mind for years now that has finally come to fruition. I enjoy every moment of it and I am thankful for each and every person that reads my blog. Truly, thank you. Every month traffic has increased to my blog. That is because of you guys. Thank you for your time and for visiting my blog.
The main reason I am writing this post is to let you know that I have a lot coming down the pipeline content wise. To be honest it is an information overload. There is so much I want to cover and I am only one man. While trying to keep up with the flow of news on a daily basis. I will admit I have found a flow that works for me but, it is still a challenge.
As, Blade once said, ”Some motherfuckers always trying to skate up hill.” I completely feel that is what I have been doing the past couple of weeks. Skating up hill.
High Speed News Cycle
There has been so much news happening within the firearms community, military, and law enforcement that I want to cover. I am working to bring you all that content. My biggest concern is doing the necessary research to make sure that I am giving you accurate information. Honestly, I don’t care about the news cycle. I don’t work around clicks and getting views on my content. It is there for anyone who finds it. I am out to build accurate and complete articles on the matter at hand. So, I am be a few days late or more on certain news I am okay with that. My goal is quality over quantity and I will always strive to give you that as readers.
Recently Military Headlines
The last couple of weeks has had some big news stories such as, The Marines from Camp Pendleton acting as coyotes and helping illegal immigrants cross the border into California. A Navy Seal Team was called back for drinking while deployed. You also had the ever evolving U.S. and Iran tensions. Now, over a disputed drone being shot down in the Strait of Hormuz. That is just within the realm of military news.
Just today you have “talks” about Marines going to Venezuela and Secretary of State saying President Trump wants military troops out of Afghanistan by 2020. So, on that front alone I am stacked.
Triggrcon 2019
This weekend Triggrcon was held up in Bellevue, WA. It is a smaller trade show still, some industry heavy hitters came out to talk about some new products hitting the market this fall. I will do an article summarizing the event as a whole and what I found interesting that was introduced at Triggrcon.
Gilroy Garlic Festival Shooting
Yesterday evening you had a shooting at the Garlic Festival in Gilroy, CA where a gunman took 3 innocent lives and injured 13. That is still a developing story as of today. I will cover this story once more information is released on the shooting.
New Content
I am looking to add more personally created content. The tag line for Obsidian Concepts is “Evolving the warrior within”. That has always been one of the key principles of this site is to provide a place with sound information for shooters but, to also help people grow at the same time.
I am working on creating content that deals with mental, emotional, and spiritual growth as a man. Being a man is this day and age is difficult terrain to navigate.
I want to empower men to be who we are designed to be: teachers, protectors, builders, and destroyers. As, men we are meant to guide and nurture the one’s we love. To lead with wisdom, strength, and integrity. These are the core principles of our character.
That is our purpose as men and that is stripped away from us in so many ways in today’s society. Like I said before this content is meant to empower and give men the tools to navigate today’s landscape.
I am also creating more content for the tactical section of the blog. My mind is always thinking about tactics and strategy. Honestly, it’s so bad I went on a two day mental tangent and thought about nothing but raid operations in my free time. The raid operations where in the confines of urban warfare. I shit you not that was what I thought about for two days when I had a free moment. I know…lame! But, to me it was a complete blast.
Lastly, I have been thinking about covering entertainment with a firearms slant, obviously. I will see how that emerges and develops.
Conclusion
As, you can see I have a lot on my plate for content. I am always thinking and working to produce awesome content for Obsidian Concepts. Again, I just want to say thank you to all who read Obsidian Concepts. You have let me know through your traffic that you believe in what I do and that I am producing quality content.
