This summer Strike Industries (SI) released a refreshed version of their SI Oppressor, the Oppressor LITE. That redesigned yielded a slimmer and meaner version of its big brother, the OG Oppressor. The original and Lite Oppressors where only compatible with Strike Industries muzzle devices. Now, that has all changed with the Oppressor Universal, which gives users the ability to use the blast diffuser without needing a Strike Industries muzzle device.
The SI Oppressor is a blast diffuser as I mentioned earlier. The new diffuser uses a proprietary 3-lug system to mount the Oppressor. The Oppressor Universal is compatible with 9mm, .223/5.56, and 7.62 ammunition. The Oppressor Universal comes in black, blue, red, and fde.
Below, is the product description of the Oppressor Universal from Strike Industries.
Product Description
The Strike Industries OPPRESSOR Universal is a blast shield that works with almost any muzzle device on the market that has a maximum outer diameter of 25.00mm (0.98”). This OPPRESSOR U version works just like the rest of the SI OPPRESSOR family and redirects blast and sound while maintaining the recoil reduction of muzzle devices. Designed with a SI proprietary 3-lug quick detach base, the OPPRESSOR Universal is easily installed and removed with a push and a slight turn. Install SI OPPRESSOR Universal 3-lug QD base, the included correct sized crush washer, properly set the timing/alignment of your muzzle device and you are ready to go. Fire your weapon with or without the OPPRESSOR Universal on. The OPPRESSOR family is multi-caliber compatible with .223/5.56, .308/7.62 and 9mm calibers. The OPPRESSOR U is made of a steel core with a 6061-T6 aluminum body and is anodized in SI Black, Red, Blue and FDE. The Universal continues the SI OPPRESSOR line for redirecting the gas pressure produced by aggressive brakes and compensators. Advanced internal geometry actively draws the gasses out and thrusts the gasses forward through ports to accomplish linear braking in order to retain more efficiency. The SI OPPRESSOR Universal can be rapidly installed before indoor shooting, outdoor public firing line or being kind to the classmates next to you while training.
