Last year, Aero Precision teased their new bolt action that was designed, engineered, and built in-house by the former aerospace company. Fast forward a year, and Aero Precision is ready to unveil its bolt action to the shooting community. Aero is proud to announce the SOLUS bolt action rifle system. The SOLUS aims to give hunters, shooters, and competitors a custom shooting experience where the end user can build the rifle to dictate their needs.

If you are a novice shooter of precision rifle shooting (PRS), you could buy a complete SOLUS rifle to begin your journey. The competition shooter could buy the SOLUS chassis and action for a barrel they own. In comparison, the hunter could build a lightweight loadout for their needs. The goal of the SOLUS is modularity and customization of the bolt gun by the end user.

Below are the product introduction and production description for the complete SOLUS build chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

Product Introduction

The Aero Precision SOLUS works to provide hunters, competitors, and shooting enthusiasts with a custom shooting experience. The SOLUS line was designed and built around the core belief that equipment should not be the marksman’s limiting factor under any use case.

This core principle is what drives the Solus to perform downrange across a number of different applications. The Solus lineup gives the shooter flexibility to start their journey—whether that be a custom-tailored turnkey system, barreled action, or standalone action. This offering allows the end user to enjoy a premium bolt action experience as they see fit.

The SOLUS exists as the keystone in an open-source ecosystem. Compatibility with many industry-standard parts and componentry allows the shooter to custom build their system without the traditional barriers to entry commonly associated with custom bolt actions.
