Meridian Defense Unveils Modernized UCR-103 and Retro-Inspired Khyber-103

Meridian Defense has unveiled two new additions to its AK lineup with the introduction of the UCR-103 and Khyber-103. Both rifles are built around the AK-100 series platform, specifically utilizing from the AK-103 chambered in 7.62x39mm.

The two rifles take very different approaches to the modern AK platform. The UCR-103 leans heavily into modernization and modularity, while the Khyber-103 embraces the classic aesthetic and battlefield-inspired styling seen throughout the Khyber Pass region of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The MDC UCR-103, a premier model in our AK 100 Series, is a modernized AK design crafted for you, the U.S. customer, and chambered in the powerful and proven 7.62x39mm cartridge. Drawing inspiration from the Russian AK-103, this rifle blends legendary reliability with American innovation, excelling in tough conditions for shooters of all skill levels. As part of our exclusive AK10x series, the UCR-103 features our 14.5″ CHF Chrome-lined barrel with a pinned and welded muzzle device, Adjustable gas block, lightweight polymer lower handguard, Ultimak 1913 Picatinny gas tube, a side rail scope mount, and 100% U.S.-made parts built to meet rigorous domestic standards.
