Atibal Unveils the ARES MAX Featuring SUPER LED Technology

Atibal Optics is excited to introduce the new ARES MAX red dot optic, now available for preorder. The ARES is short for Advanced Rugged Enclosed Sight.

Atibal’s newest addition features a large window that provides an expanded field of view for faster target acquisition and improved situational awareness while shooting.

The optic features a 3 MOA dot with eight brightness settings and two night vision modes. Power is supplied through a hybrid solar and CR2032 battery system that reportedly delivers over 50,000 hours of runtime. The optic also includes shake awake technology with automatic on/off functionality to help conserve battery life.

The ARES MAX also features Atibal’s state-of-the-art SUPER LED technology. Instead of utilizing a traditional LED emitter, Atibal uses an etched LED bulb design that the company states creates a crisper and more defined dot, improved illumination performance, and increased battery efficiency.

Additional features include recessed windage and elevation turrets with 1 MOA adjustments per click, a side-loading battery compartment, and compatibility with the R1-K footprint for mounting options. Below is the full product description from Atibal Optics on the new ARES MAX.

Large Window Red Dot Sight – Designed for AR Platforms

ARES (Advanced Rugged Enclosed Sight) MAX is engineered for speed, clarity, and rugged reliability, this red dot sight delivers uncompromising performance for AR shooters. Featuring a 29x22mm large window with an enclosed LED emitter, it provides a wide field of view and crisp target acquisition.

The 3 MOA red/green dot offers precision aiming with 8 brightness levels plus 2-night vision settings, ensuring adaptability in any environment. Powered by both solar energy and a long-life battery system, it achieves over 50,000 hours of runtime, with a motion sensor auto shut-off after 2 minutes to conserve power.

Built for durability, the optic is nitrogen purged for fog-proof performance, IP67 waterproof (tested to 1 meter for 30 minutes), and shockproof up to 1200g’s. Concealed mechanical adjustments provide 1 MOA per click, with parallax reduced to ≤ 2 MOA at 100 yards for consistent accuracy.

Additional features include side-loading battery access for convenience, compatibility with the R1-k footprint, and a design purpose-built for the AR platform.

Key Benefits:

  • Wide 29x22mm window for enhanced situational awareness
  • Rugged, waterproof, and shockproof construction
  • Solar + battery power with extended life
  • Night vision compatibility and auto shut-off motion sensor
  • Precision adjustments with minimal parallax

The red dot market is an increasingly competitive, especially within the AR optic space. Atibal appears to be leaning heavily into value, durability, and modern feature sets with the ARES MAX by combining a large viewing window, enclosed emitter design, hybrid solar power system, and shake awake technology into a relatively affordable package.

Atibal’s SUPER LED technology is also one of the more interesting aspects of the optic. If the etched LED system performs as advertised, the ARES MAX could carve out a solid position within the growing enclosed emitter market.

The ARES MAX is available now for preorder. Orders are expected to begin shipping in early June. Preorder pricing starts at $279.99, which is 26% off the suggested retail price of $379.99.
