The new DeltaPoint Micro is a red dot that attaches directly to the to your rear iron sights. The red dot sits at the same height as your factory iron sights and aligns the red dot with the front sight. The new DeltaPoint Micro features a lightweight design, a 3 MOA red dot, and 8 brightness settings. Leupold’s new red dot also provides users with three different ways to aim. First, you have your 3 MOA red dot. Second, the tube of the body can act as a ghost ring sight. Third, you rear iron sights built into the body of red dot also. So, no matter the circumstances or preferences you will always have sights to engage your target.
The new DeltaPoint Micro is set to challenge the status quo as we know it with pistol optics. It does this by bridging the gap between red dots and iron sights. The built in sights also remove the cost of buying suppressor/optic ready sights. It makes the price of entry into red dots cheaper by also removing the need for slide modification or buying an optic ready slide.
It gives those customers who were curious about putting an optic on a pistol a lower price of entry and less hassle.
The new DeltaPoint Micro is currently available for $519.99 MSRP. The new red dot is available for Glock and M&P pistols.
Below is the product description from Leupold on the new DeltaPoint Micro.
Product Description
The DeltaPoint Micro™ is a fully enclosed, low-profile red dot sight designed specifically for concealed carry and personal defense. Until now, there hasn’t been a compact red dot sight suited for pistols with smaller frames and lower sight profiles, but the DeltaPoint Micro changes the game. Mounted directly to the rear sight dovetail, the DeltaPoint Micro sits at the same height as factory iron sights and aligns the red dot with the front sight, giving you faster target acquisition and improved accuracy. And with eight levels of illumination, you can easily adjust the brightness of your red dot to match current conditions. If you need a rugged and reliable red dot for a conceal carry pistol but don’t want to deal with replacing factory sights or complicated mounting systems, then the DeltaPoint Micro is for you. Current models fit Glock® and Smith & Wesson® M&P® handguns only.
